Good Advice 04:00
Well, ye give me just enough stuff, big muff, wearing jacobean ruff, and that's fair enough. When your porno's only snuff, don't give it up. Only going to waste that good advice, only going to spread that hepatitis, oh, and when you open your big blue eyes... don't cry those tears for me, baby. When your brain's a ball of fat, your earth's kind-of flat, you can't think an' can't act, what do you make of that, and winter's kind-of hot, you can't make it up. Only going to waste that good advice, only going to hasten appetites for all the things you see with your big... blue... eyes. Oh. Oh, and in this island of minor fuss *insert Bean's favourite joke here* oh, it's on the side of your big red bus. Only going to waste that good advice, only good at waving by bye bye, tippety tap, chitter chat, diatribe... don't cry those tears for me, baby. You look kinda tired, lah de dah, lah de de dah... you look compromised, ba ba do wah, ba ba do woah. Oh. If you're a freak like me, are you gonna waste that good advice?

Drifing, sinking, trying not to drown in your love... saltwater drinking. Dying, as if that's enough. Drifting, sinking, reaching up to warm air above, safely kinking. Dying, and that was never enough. And I'm home And I'd be holy without this And you steal the fates below me With a kiss And I'm stretched out breathing only Without this Without all this, breathe out. You built in, drinking. Trying not to burn in your sun, tired out and paid in. We're dying as if that's enough. Cuz we're self-righteous fuckbags with no correlation, with crime and our cutbacks, the state of the nation. And I'll type in upper case, my grammatical mistakes, and I'm on-line out-of-line, that's fine. This time we're dying as if that was ever enough. And I'm home And I'd be holy without this And you steal the fates below me With your kiss And I'm stretched out breathing only Without this Without all this, breathe out breathe in Without all this.

They'll sing for ya, the saddest song they know Bring it forward, we're all lying on the floor Last chance or be it like never before Yep. And when you feel you're coming down Take a breath, take a bow Only now exists, only now is where you are. It's what you want and more, it's what you came here for That sting that you're feeling doesn't show Feeding fixed we're always wanting more Last chance or be it like never before Yup. And when you feel you're coming down Take a breath, take a bow Only now exists, only now is where you are It's what you want and more, it's what you came here for And then you hit the floor.

You'll have to ask Giles for the lyrics. blah blah death and destruction etc.
5.
Come on, guys... just work out the lyrics. It's not that tough.
6.
The lyrics? They're around here somewhere. Under the couch maybe?

about

The Collabs Of Civilisation is a specially curated insight into Blackpool's alternative music scene, featuring members of:

Bean's favourite band The Dropout Wives
the skatalogical Sonic Boom Six
the inspirational Uncle Paul
the dirty ripoff of Iffy Clyro
the truly ace Eye The Bomb/Shady Poets
the folking awesome Phantom Voices/The Blue Pig Orchestra
the singularity-weight heaviness of Daybreaker
the ridiculously talented Tongue of Fire
the sadly defunct Dr Bone
and the utterly wonderful Polyesters.

The cover was designed by the very artistic Barry at BeaPeaDesign, who is also a singer/guitarist for Them Fucking Snowflakes and Oceans Over Alderaan. So even the cover has Blackpool band connections.

Do you not think we planned it like this?

Missing in action: Betty Kendrick... although the track we collaborated on with BK was entirely hers, so that will be released under her own brand innit.
